Our Team

Metu Mech Nautronics team was founded by METU students in 2024, and is a new team working in the field of autonomous driving and submarine technologies, aware of this innovation and working harder to win and improving itself. Our team consists of four sub-teams: Mechanical Design and Production, Software and Electronics, Organization and Finance. These teams combine their knowledge and skills in different disciplines to produce more comprehensive and effective solutions and compete in competitions.

Mechanical Design, Analysis and Production Sub-Teams

The Mechanical Sub-Team consists of different sub-teams in three areas.

  • As the Design Sub-Team, we are responsible for concept development and CAD drawings of our projects.

  • The Production Sub-Team produces parts using additive manufacturing technologies, along with material selection and production methods.

  • The Analysis Sub-Team provides data to the design and production processes through engineering simulations and technical reports.

Electronic
Sub-Team

The Electronics Sub-Team selects the electronic components of the vehicles, assembles them, and conducts tests. By maintaining communication with other sub-teams, they remain prepared for any design changes. To ensure efficiency, the team aims to continuously improve the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of its members.

Software
Sub-Team

The purpose of the Software Sub-Team is to design, develop, and optimize the software that will meet the competition requirements of our unmanned underwater vehicle. The team works in areas such as control and motion systems, algorithm development, sensor integration, data processing, artificial intelligence and decision-making, simulation and testing, user interface, and remote control integration.

Promotion and Finance
Sub-Team

The Promotion and Finance Sub-Team is responsible for promoting the team, securing resources, and managing these resources. Our tasks include preparing all visual materials for promotional purposes. Additionally, we are responsible for maintaining communication with necessary institutions and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
